Santiago Caruso technique



Santiago Caruso's style is very unique; it brings out his personality and is like his work is his own signature, meaning when you see his work you will recognize it straight away. He uses abstraction and realism antagonistically in his work.

His technique involves charcoal and pen mixed with acrylics which makes his painting very interesting. he has a lot of negative space which emphasizes on his picture. This picture emphasizes conflict due to the red wires and eye and also the sharpness of the scissors.

this picture is inspired by Moses in the crossing of the red sea. He uses negative space which is the sky and since the waves are curved they create a harmonious effect. The harmonious effect is in contrast with conflict as the people are soldiers and the general has a brain as a head.
